I wish there were more typfaces I could use. Also, I couldn't figure out how to italicize titles within the document without it italicizing all around it. I gave up after several attempts. Wish that part were more user friendly.

Fields in Word are bits of code that are placeholders for data that changes. ... When you select an entire field, it is both shaded and highlighted. The shading on fields can be helpful to make it easier to find the fields in your document.
1) Go to Word Preferences and choose Ribbon. 3) You now have a Developer tab on your Ribbon. Click on that tab, and you can now turn on and off the form field shading. In older versions of Word, you can turn off the form shading fields by using the Forms Toolbar under Tools.
To remove the formatting in Microsoft Word from any text highlight the text and press the shortcut key Ctrl+Space bar. The shortcut sets the text to the default font, removes the formatting, and even removes links.
Position your pointer where you want to create a content control > go to Developer tab > choose “Design Mode” > choose the type of content controls. It works for me. Highlight the content control that you want to shade. Then, in the developer tab follow these steps.
View the Developer tab to add or change content controls To add a control, click in the document where you want to add it, and then click the control you want to add on the Design tab. To set properties on a control or change an existing control, on the Developer tab, in the Controls group, click Properties.
Select the text that you want to remove highlighting from, or press Ctrl+A to select all the text in the document. Go Home and select the arrow next to Text Highlight Color. Select No Color.
Double-click the field or drag the mouse over it to select it. Then highlighting is added to the gray shading indicating the field is selected.
