In education, a transcript is an inventory of the courses taken and grades earned of a student throughout a course of study. Transcript certificate is an important document for a course that contains grades and marks of all subjects throughout a course of study. It is assured by universities or colleges.
The two terms both signify a piece of paper that displays a student's academic progress. In short, a transcript only lists all the classes and exams the student takes, as well as the grades or marks the student received. While, a degree certificate signifies that the student graduated from the program successfully.
Transcript/Official Grade Report. A transcript is an official copy of a student's academic record detailing the courses the student has taken and each grade received. As an important document requested by schools in order to process applications, applicants must submit their transcripts in English.
An official transcript is a list of the classes taken by a student, along with grades, and GPA (Grade Point Average). A transcript will list all courses and grades received, majors, concentrations, any honors, and any degrees earned by a student.
From the STUDENT DETAIL page click on the TRANSCRIPTS tab. Then click VIEW TRANSCRIPT REPORT. On the next screen, select the program from the drop-down menu and choose the desired report options. To view the transcript, click the FILTER button.
You can also search for your school district at the National Center for Education Statistics website. The district will still have student records for all the high schools that belonged to the district and should be able to get you a copy of your transcript and send official copies on your behalf.
Contact your school district. If you have graduated recently from a public school, your records will likely be stored at your local school district office or county board of education. Depending on your school, you may be able to request your transcripts online, over the phone, or through the mail.
You'll need to be in good financial standing with your school before they'll release a transcript to you. Typically, colleges allow students to order copies of transcripts online, by mail or in person. Some colleges do, however, provide transcripts at no cost.
