Fill in the Blank Love what this has done for making my job so much easier at a very reasonable rate. For my business this was and is the best tool I have for putting together insurance reports. Build or scan in a template and fill in the blanks when you need to send a report out. BAHM! DONE! Probably something I have not spent enough time to figure out yet but as of now each time I fill in a blank template it auto saves it so my original always has to be cleared before new entry.

Proceed to the Downloads & Updates page. In the Select Product drop-down, then choose your QuickBooks product. In the Select Version drop-down, then choose the proper variant or year. Select Get the latest updates, subsequently Save/Save File to get the update.
All you'll need to do is install the 2020 program on your computer with the new license and product details, then open your company file from 2015 in the 2020 program. The new version of Desktop will prompt you to upgrade the file and then do it for you once you click OK.

As of today, the outright rate for a QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2020 3-user license is $1,154.99. You'll note that I haven't mentioned payroll in that price. Payroll can be added on as a one-year service at time of purchase. This is because of the way tax tables are updated in the program.
For Premier, the QuickBooks upgrade price is $499.95. Annual upgrades are included with the QuickBooks Premier Plus plan. Additional users cost $450/per user. There is a maximum of five total users for QuickBooks Premier and QuickBooks Premier Plus.
No you do not have to “upgrade” every year — some users are still using the 2007 version! If you upgrade your computer OS you will eventually find that your old software won't run right any longer. But you should “update” your existing version every time a new service release is issued.
Open your new version of QuickBooks Desktop. Go to the File menu. Select Open or Restore Company. Select Open a company file then Next. Highlight your data file then select Open. Read the info in the Update Company File for New Version pane.
Make sure all users are logged out of your company file. Open your new version of QuickBooks Desktop. Go to the File menu and select Open or Restore Company. Click Restore a backup copy and then click Local backup. Browse your computer for your company file.
