Awesome software!
Very easy to use and great to help fill PDF's and create them. I use this software very often and I rarely have issues.
Sometimes it lags and it can be a pain, but overall this is a great software to use and I don't have many cons.

How do you do a tick in Google Docs?
In any Google Doc, you go in the Insert menu, then “special symbol”. Then you have a small window, near Symbol, another selector. Choose “miscellaneous” and you'll find tickers at the bottom.
