Microsoft Notepad and WordPad Microsoft Notepad and Microsoft WordPad do not have any spell check solution. If you need to spell check a document that was written in either of these programs, use one of the online solutions or open the document in another program such as Microsoft Word.

To enable spell check as you type, follow these steps: Click the File tab, and then click Options. In the Word Options dialog box, click Proofing. Make sure that the Check spelling as you type check box is selected in the When correcting spelling and grammar in Word section.
