I liked the access to all the forms. It was great. And as I tried to do ever more complicated things with the forms (strikethroughs, initialing the corrections in random places, etc.) I learned more and more about the tools the platform has. It has just about everything you could imagine.

How long does a building notice application take?
Building notice application This is usually within two days. The notice is valid for three years, after which it will lapse if the building work has not commenced. Once the works have commenced, the notice lasts indefinitely. No completion certificate is issued as no plans have been submitted.

How do I get Building Control approval?
Choose a building control surveyor. Submit your building regulations application. Get to work. The building control surveyor visit. The completion visit!
What is notice of passing of building plans?
Building Notice. You can apply for building regulations' approval from your local authority building control service by giving a building notice. Plans are not required with this process, so it's quicker and less detailed than the full plans' application.

What is a building regulations initial notice?
If an Approved Inspector is used, before any controlled building work can start on site they must inform the local authority about the work. This is called giving an 'initial notice'. This notice states that a particular Approved Inspector is the BCB for the specified works, at the specified location.
How long does a building control application take?
It is usually processed by the local authority within 5-8 weeks, with approved applications valid for the next three years. Local authority building inspectors will arrange to visit you and check the works are compliant at key stages in the build process.
