Call the UI Self-Service Phone Line at 1-866-333-4606. Select Menu Option 2. Enter your four-digit PIN. If you do not have one, the system will tell you how to create one. Answer all certification questions and confirm your answers.

How do I get EDD certified by phone?

EDD Telecast is a fast and convenient way to certify for your Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits over the phone. Call the UI Self-Service Phone Line at 1-866-333-4606.

How long does it take for EDD to certify?

Most customers certify for continuing benefits two weeks at a time. If you have multiple weeks that need to be certified, you'll start with the oldest week first. You can only certify for two weeks at a time regardless of the number of weeks available.

How do I contact a live person at EDD?

To speak with an EDD representative, call the UI Self-Service Phone Line at 1-866-333-4606 Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. to 12 noon (Pacific Time), except on California state holidays.

How do I certify for unemployment benefits?
