How do I file a motion to set aside a default Judgement?
If you do not think the default judgement was appropriately entered against you, you must file a motion with the court asking the judge to set aside (void or nullify) the judgement. If the judge grants your motion, the case starts back up again.

A motion for default does not end your case in most states. The plaintiff must typically take one more step and ask for a final judgement against you after default is entered. If too much time hasn't elapsed, you can usually file a motion asking the judge to vacate or set aside the judgement.
