What do you like best? The tools are easy to find in PDF filler. What do you dislike? It is sometimes difficult to execute certain tasks when the pre-highlighted boxes appear. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I have learned how to use it better, which has negated some of the issues. It is a helpful tool for a job that requires me to fill out many PDF documents.

What do the colors mean on Turnitin?

The colored square indicating the overall similarity of a paper will be one of these five basic colors: red, orange, yellow, green, or blue. Each color represents how much of your paper matches something already in the Turnitin database.

What is the acceptable percentage for Turnitin?

As a guide a returned percentage of below 15% would probably indicate that plagiarism has not occurred. However, if the 15% of matching text is one continuous block this could still be considered plagiarism. A high percentage would probably be anything over 25% (Yellow, orange or red).

What is a bad score on Turnitin?

An originality score can be high but may not be plagiarism. For example, long papers (7-10 pages) may have ample footnoting with matches of low consequence (under 5% each). But even five or six such hits might yield an originality score of 25% made up of matches that are less than 5% each.

Is Turnitin 20 similarity bad?

The number 20% keeps getting used, but the OP says they were told it was “around 15-20%.” Pages in the original paper are irrelevant. ... Turnitin reports the similarity of the original paper (1) to other sources in its database (2). Many sources are not in its database, such as textbooks (a huge problem).

Is Turnitin 16 similarity bad?

Is yellow bad on Turnitin?

All Turnitin reports will be color-coded and the level of severity ranges from blue or green (indicating that it is unlikely plagiarism has occurred) or yellow, orange and red (indicating that it is highly likely something is amiss). An originality score can be high but may not be plagiarism.

What does yellow mean on Turnitin?

If the colored square is Yellow, 25% — 49% of your paper or assignment matches something already in the Turnitin database. A Green colored square means that 0% — 24% of your paper or assignment matches something already in the Turnitin database.
