How to convert PDF to DWG in AutoCAD? Every AutoCAD software application version since 2017 is capable of importing PDF content into AutoCAD drawings via the PDFIMPORT command. If you are working with native PDFs, AutoCAD 2017 and newer can make lines and text editable.
Binding is not possible for PDFs or raster images, therefore the option is missing in the right-click menu of such reference types.
There is no direct functionality to automatically import all the pages of a PDF into a drawing. To import multiple pages of a PDF efficiently try the following: Run the _PDFATTACH command and browse to select the PDF file. On the PDF-Document attach dialog, select multiple pages at once (using Ctrl+Click).
To convert PDF into DWG you need to first know the type of PDF file that you have. There are essentially two types of PDF files, a raster file and a vector. If you've exported the PDF from AutoCAD using its PDF plotters, then it's essentially a vector file that can be easily added back to AutoCAD and converted to DWG.
Causes: The file is a raster-based PDF and PDFIMPORT is set to import only vector-based objects.
