So far so good. The only thing I was confused on was that I was able to edit a document before actually registering. Then, finding out later, I could not even print the document without registering. I am not complaining, I was just confused. I am a senior !!

Step 9 To lock your form so that users can only fill out your form, click the Protection tab on the right side toolbar, then select Restrict Editing. Enter the same password in both fields, then click the OK button to save the password.
1 Answer. Select to add a password to “Restrict editing” and then select the restrictions you want to apply. Make sure that you save the file under a new filename after you apply these settings. This allows you to keep your unprotected file and send out the protected version.
Make a backup copy of your PDF file. Open the copy and choose Advanced > PDF Optimizer. Click the Cleanup tab. Select Remove Hidden Layers Content and Flatten Layers, and then click OK. When prompted, save the Optimized PDF with another new name.
Choose a Signature from the Sign As menu. Enter the Password for the selected digital signature. Select an Appearance, or choose To create New Appearance. Enable Lock Document After Signing if this option is available.
Protect PDF from Copying and Editing. Go to the “Protect” tab, then click the “Password” button. Then select the option for “Require a password to change security settings and get access to specific functions”.
