How do I password protect a scanned PDF document?

Open PDF. Click Properties. Go to Security tab. Security Method field, change to 'Password Security' Password Security Window will pop up. Then check the 'Require a password to open the document' Enter a password. Click OK.

How do you encrypt a PDF file?

Open the PDF and choose Tools > Protect > Encrypt > Encrypt with Password. If you receive a prompt, click Yes to change the security. Select Require a Password to Open the Document, then type the password in the corresponding field.

How do I protect a PDF file from being copied?

Open Your PDF. Launch PDF element on your computer. Click the “Open File” button on the Home window. Protect PDF from Copying and Editing. Go to the “Protect” tab, then click the “Password” button. Then select the option for “Require a password to change security settings and get access to specific functions”.
