good morning I'm going to show you specifically how to give low-income housing best and I'm also going to show you how to get it to berry top of any waiting list regardless of what program that HUDs running so for the intended purposes of this video I'm gonna have to switch from you seeing me to seeing my screen and we're gonna be reviewing all the hoods manuals their actual operational manuals these are the manuals they train their people that asks you know all the questions are going to ask you nan to score you and I have all of their tests and all those scoring systems so we'll see you in a second now what you're looking at here is going to be what they call the continuum of care there's two ways to approach HUD the first is to go to the rationale buildings or the locations and apply it that way the other way in the less known way is through continuum of care these continuum of care or locations that are specifically designed to deal with people that are very low income people on a verge of being homeless or that you know people that are actually homeless okay to give you the short explanation of this when you go to a HUD location at the housing that they're gonna offer you there is a long wait list and the housing they offered a continuum of care is very fast in most cases for most cities within 30 to 60 days that will generally get you into housing and there's no the list doesn't simply become full it's it's never full so you can access this anytime of the year vs. HUD and wait and then they turn off the waiting list the second thing I want to tell you is was a continuum of care they allocate the largest portion of all housing and any given City to to that program okay and a very small portion of all housing is actually sort of the HUD buildings people so if you're going to an actual head building to apply that way what's gonna happen is that ba ba a list of a hundred people about the first the very top starting at number one down to about seventy so let's 70% that's all going to be COC where you gonna fall when you normally apply and then bottom 30 unless you discuss certain things with them that would put you into a COC or continuum of care now just so you understand this the continuum of care this is their actual so what happens is HUD creates their own rules so you know through Housing and Urban Development okay and that's issued to every state which modifies these operational manuals and then once they've modified it they handed out to different organizations that are going to be the entry points which you'll go apply at now the signs and simple modifications to the federal rules almost all of these assessment tests the questions are going to ask you the scoring systems all pretty much gonna be the same and if you understand the questions and how to answer if you understand how to rank highly in two scores you will fly to the top of the list that is that and so that's a certainty so with all that being said I'm gonna start with...
