Awesome software!
Very easy to use and great to help fill PDF's and create them. I use this software very often and I rarely have issues.
Sometimes it lags and it can be a pain, but overall this is a great software to use and I don't have many cons.

How do I convert fonts to outlines?
To convert text to outlines, go Select > Select All. It doesn't matter if other graphic elements are selected. Select Type > Create Outlines from the menu. The text will become outlined and can't be edited as text (see the image below right).

Do I need to outline fonts for a PDF?
For PDF files outlining fonts is not necessary. With the proper PDF job options, fonts are embedded into the PDF as live type. This allows the font to retain it's original hinting data. ... Outlining type does nothing to prevent data transfer issues.

What does it mean to outline a font?
Outlined fonts means vector text that is no longer a font but rather is vector shapes. It eliminates issues for the printer not having the font. You can convert text to outline in any of the creative suite programs before exporting to PDF but make sure you don't save over your live-type version in case there are edits.
