I have been a short time user. I downloaded a document; tried to then sign it, which was ok, but when I downloaded it did not pick up the entire form; all preprinted matter on the form did not download to the email I sent. Tom

Handy service. Swift support. I am amazed Let me share with you my experience frankly. I needed to edit a one single pdf document. Found this service. Registered for a free trial. Edited the document swiftly and smoothly. And forgot about it. Till the moment I received a charge for the yearly subscription. Which, admittedly, is not low at all (though may be reasonable to those who use this service).Anyway, I contacted pdfFiller support team, and I was surprised by both: 1) the fact that they immediately agreed to issue a refund, as it met their policy (I canceled in less than 24 hours, actually, immediately) 2) that even though they told that I will receive the money back within 1-5 business days - I got it within a few minutes. I am perplexed. The only pity really is that I can't afford it

John Napier is best known as the discoverer of logarithms. He also invented the so-called “Napier's bones” and made common the use of the decimal point in arithmetic and mathematics.
John Napier invented logarithms, but many other scientists and mathematicians helped develop Napier's logarithms to the system we use today. The first table of common logarithms was compiled by the English mathematician Henry Briggs.
Logarithm Logarithms were invented independently by John Napier, a Scotsman, and by Joost Burgh, a Swiss. The logarithms which they invented differed from each other and from the common and natural logarithms now in use. Napier's logarithms were published in 1614; Burgh's logarithms were published in 1620.
The Scottish mathematician John Napier published his discovery of logarithms in 1614. His purpose was to assist in the multiplication of quantities that were then called sines. The whole sine was the value of the side of a right-angled triangle with a large hypotenuse. (Napier's original hypotenuse was 107.)
The English mathematician Henry Briggs visited Napier in 1615, and proposed a re-scaling of Napier's logarithms to form what is now known as the common or base-10 logarithms.
Napier believed that the symbols the Book contained were mathematical, so they must be able to be disclosed through reason. He regarded this work as so important that it was his only work written in English. Napier, who is credited with the invention of logarithms, only considered the study of mathematics as a hobby.
Who Invented Exponential Functions? Exponential functions were created by two men, John Napier and Joost Burgh, independently of each other. Napier was from Scotland, and his work was published in 1614, while Burgh, a native of Switzerland, developed his work in 1620.
Logarithms are a convenient way to express large numbers. (The base-10 logarithm of a number is roughly the number of digits in that number, for example.) Slide rules work because adding and subtracting logarithms is equivalent to multiplication and division. (This benefit is slightly less important today.)
However, there is one man who is responsible for the invention of the logarithm. That man is the Scotsman, John Napier. Napier is placed within a short lineage of mathematical thinkers beginning with Archimedes and more recent geniuses, Sir Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein.
