What is the next MTG set coming out?
Until the next set gets released in July 2020, there's currently only six sets in Standard. These are Core Set 2020, War of the Spark, Danica Allegiance, Guilds of Danica, Throne of Elaine, and the sixth and most recent addition, Theron: Beyond Death (which we'll talk about a bit more soon).
How often does MTG release a new set?
New cards printed in a core set or expansion set stay in Standard for between one and two years after their printing. Currently, the normal set release schedule is: One block (like Theron) on a yearly cycle: one sets each for fall, winter, and spring. One core set (like M14) each summer.
How many sets of magic are there in a year?
Each year, four Magic sets are released and added to Standard. Once per year, when the fall set releases, the four oldest sets in Standard rotate out.
What sets rotate out of Standard MTG?
Standard is a rotating group of Magic: The Gathering sets. Most sets enter Standard when they're released and drop out about twenty-one months later. Generally Standard will grow until it would receive its ninth set, then instead it drops its oldest four sets to receive it as a fifth set. There are exceptions to this.
How many sets are in modern MTG?
Modern is a constructed format and therefore adheres to the following constructed rules: Minimum of sixty cards. No maximum deck size, as long as you can shuffle your deck unassisted. Up to fifteen cards in your sideboard, if used.
How many Magic cards are there 2020?
Core Set 2020 features a mix of new and reprinted cards. The set contains 280 cards (20 basic land, 112 common, 80 uncommon, 53 rare, and 15 mythic rare) and includes randomly inserted premium versions of all cards.

Your deck must be at least 60 cards. Up to fifteen cards may be included in your sideboard, if you use one. There's no maximum deck size, as long as you can shuffle your deck in your hands unassisted.
