Alongside the letter-grade system stands an S-U system, in which S means satisfactory, as defined by performance that would be graded C- or higher, and U means unsatisfactory, as defined by performance that would be graded below C-.
What is a midterm grade?
The purpose of a 'Midterm grade' is to identify how students are doing in their courses to identify where improvements are needed. Midterms are released approximately two weeks before the semester drop deadline so that students are able to make an informed decision on whether to drop a course.
What does u mean on transcript?
I followed by any rating indicates In-progress- no credit awarded. P followed by a rating of 3 or 4 indicates credit awarded from prior learning or experience. IC means incomplete and is only used for academic classes. S means satisfactory. U means unsatisfactory.
What does U mean in school?
A 'U' means that you have failed to meet the minimum requirements to be given a pass at any grade.
What does an on a transcript mean?
A grade of Incomplete (noted “I” on the transcript) may be assigned when a student has completed and passed a majority of the work required for a course but, for reasons beyond the student's control, cannot complete the entire course.
Does and I affect your GPA?
Incomplete, Drop, Withdraw Any marks not defined in your GPA scale, like “I”, “INC”, “Drop”, “W”, etc. are not counted toward the GPA. Credits You may set some courses to count less than others, or not count at all toward the GPA. To define how many Credits each course is worth, see Schedule > Courses.
How do I find my GPA on my transcript?
Add up the number of grade points for every class on your transcript. Add up the number of all the credit hours you attempted. Count all credit hours that were given a grade, regardless of the grade. Divide the total number of grade points by the total number of credit hours to determine your cumulative GPA.
