On the Review tab, in the Protect group, click Protect Document, and then click Restrict Formatting and Editing. In the Restrict Formatting and Editing task pane, click Stop Protection.
Step 1: Right-click the Word document that is locked for editing and chooses to open with Worded. Step 2: Now the Word document is unlocked automatically. You can edit it in your way. Step 3: Click the top left icon and choose Save.
Remove Password Protection on Word for Mac Step 1: Go to Review > Protect Document. Step 2: Delete the password to open or modify the Word document. Step 3: Click OK.
Removing a password from a document is a simple process, but you have to know the original password. Go to File > Info > Protect Document > Encrypt with Password.
