What Is an Electronic Signature in Israel?

Electronic signatures in Israel are regulated by the Electronic Signature Law, 5761 - 2001. It defines three types of electronic signatures: simple electronic signature, secure electronic signature, and certified electronic signature.

Consent to the use of electronic signature can be demonstrated through person’s conduct.

Electronic signatures are generally accepted as valid in Israeli courts if the court is convinced that the document possesses a high level of credibility.
