Step 1: Enable Custom Fields Custom fields are hidden by default on most WordPress sites. To make them visible, select the Screen Options tab at the top of any WordPress editor page, and choose Custom Fields: This will open a new dialog box below the post or page editor.
To view it, you need to click on the 'Screen Options' button at the top and then check the custom fields option. Scroll down a little, and you will be able to see the custom field meta box below the post editor. Custom fields can be used to add any information related to the post, page, or any content type.
Advanced Custom Fields is installed like any other plugin. Go to Plugins > Add New and search for Advanced Custom Fields, then press enter. The plugin should show up on first place and you can get it onto your site via Install Now. When the installation is done, don't forget to activate.
