How do I use ODT tablets?
Keep the tablet in its blister pack until you are ready to take it. Open the package and peel back the foil.
Use dry hands to remove the tablet and place it in your mouth.
Do not swallow the tablet whole.
Swallow several times as the tablet dissolves.
Can dispersible tablets be taken whole?
Do not chew or swallow whole tablets. The tablets must be dissolved. You can take this medicine with or without food. If it upsets your stomach, take it with food.
What happens if you swallow a dispersible aspirin?
Gastrointestinal side effects such as nausea, indigestion and vomiting are the most common side effects of aspirin but can be minimized by taking it with food and keeping the dose to a minimum. Having said that many patients are able to take aspirin 75 mg dispersible tablets long-term without any problems.
What happens if you let a pill dissolve in your mouth?
For some people, it may take weeks until they get the hang of it. Don't swallow pills with a dry mouth and throat. Swallow the pill quickly. If you let it sit on your tongue for a while, it may start to dissolve, emitting a bitter taste that will trigger your gag reflex.
Does ondansetron make you sleepy?
SIDE EFFECTS: Headache, lightheadedness, dizziness, drowsiness, tiredness, or constipation may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly. Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects.
When should you take ondansetron?
If you are taking ondansetron for nausea that occurs with meals, then the standard tablet should be taken half an hour to 1 hour before meals, and the orally disintegrating tablet or oral soluble film can be taken 15 minutes before meals.

Ondansetron works in the stomach to block the signals to the brain that cause nausea and vomiting. The standard tablets that are swallowed will start to work within half an hour to 2 hours. Medicines generally work faster on an empty stomach, an hour before food or 2 hours after.
What is the difference between Zofran and Zofran ODT?
Zofran comes in 4- and 8-milligram (mg) tablets. Zofran ODT comes in 4- and 8-mg orally disintegrating tablets. Zofran also comes in liquid form. To treat or prevent nausea or vomiting, you'll usually take a tablet 30 minutes before chemotherapy, one or two hours before radiation therapy, and one hour before surgery.
How does ODT file work?
An ODT file is a text document created by various word processors, such as the Writer program included in Apache OpenOffice and LibreOffice. It contains different elements such as text, images, drawn objects, and styles. ODT files are formatted using the OASIS OpenDocument XML-based standard.
What is a ODT file and how do I open it?
To open an ODT file on an Android device, you can install the OpenDocument Reader app. iPhone and other iOS users can use ODT files with Reader or ikuDocs Documents, and probably some other document editors.
How do orally disintegrate tablets work?
An ODT is a solid dosage form that disintegrates and dissolves in the mouth (either on or beneath the tongue or in the buccal cavity) without water within 60 seconds or less.

What do you dislike?
Very little. But sometimes I find I accidentally click on the up/down bar instead of the buttons. Also, some of the buttons are not intuitive, but trial and error works well, and mistakes are easily deleted.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
I used to need a type writer (or hand write) sometimes still to comply with using the forms given to me by the government. Now, I can upload them and use the computer. Much better.
