To activate smart labels, click on the Labs tab under Mail Settings in Gmail and click “Enable” next to the Smart Labels option. Your labels will be created automatically and all future emails will be sorted.
Automatically label emails in Gmail. Labels help you sort through all of your email and order them in a manageable way. Labels are Gmail-speak for folders and can automatically identify, classify and then organize all incoming email using these labels.
Then click Sender labels at the top of the screen and choose the way you want your emails to be organized by clicking Sort by in the top left corner (e.g. sort by Sender Email in ascending order). Now your Gmail account is sorted by Sender in your preferred order, and it is that simple.
1. Open the Gmail app, sign in if you haven't already, and then tap on the search bar at the top. 2. Type the email address of the sender you're looking for and click the Search icon (small magnifying glass icon on the on-screen keyboard).
