Select the cell with the drop-down list. If you have multiple cells with drop-down lists that you want to delete, you can use Ctrl+Left click to select them. Click Data >Data Validation. On the Settings tab, click Clear All. Click OK.
Select the cell containing the drop-down list to be removed. Select Data. Select Data Validation to open the Data Validation dialog box. Select the Settings tab. Select Clear All to remove the drop-down list. Select OK to close the dialog box and return to the worksheet.
Select a cell or cells that reference your Excel Data Validation list, i.e. cells containing a drop-down box that you want to edit. Click Data Validation (Excel ribbon > Data tab). Delete or type new items in the Source box. Click OK to save the changes and close the Excel Data Validation window.
Deleting Menu Options Launch your spreadsheet and click the cell containing the drop-down menu. Click the Data tab and then click Data Validation. Click the icon to the right of the Source text box. The Data Validation window minimizes and you go to the location of the menu options.
