What is a transcript grade?
When students are thinking about changing schools, the cumulative transcripts get mailed from school to school. Transcripts usually consist of grades 9-12 when applying to colleges. Transcripts are most often issued and used at the high school (grades 9-12) and university levels.
What does a mean on a transcript?
E = The course attempt is excluded from GPA (grade point average) calculation. A = The course attempt is included in GPA calculation. I = The course attempt is included in GPA and earned hours' calculation.
What does an grade mean?
A grade of Incomplete (noted “I” on the transcript) may be assigned when a student has completed and passed a majority of the work required for a course but, for reasons beyond the student's control, cannot complete the entire course.
What does P on a transcript mean?
Grade Notations Academic Senate policy did not permit the computation of a grade point average. P. Pass (equivalent to a C or above) Fail. Performance that does not merit a Pass.
Can I remove grades from my transcript?
Some schools allow students to petition to have a grade removed from use in calculating the cumulative GPA, but the record of the class is not withdrawn from the transcript. The course will remain on the transcript, but the grade will not be included in the cumulative GPA.
What does NG mean on transcript?
In accordance with Academic Senate Regulations, the Office of the University Registrar shall enter the grade notation No Grade (or 'NG') on the student's record for a student whose instructor has not yet submitted an appropriate grade (letter grade or P, NP, S, U, I or IP) upon final grade submission.
Is a school report the same as a transcript?
A school report provides information on your school, its statistics, and the classes it offers (it has nothing to do with you specifically). The transcript is your record of high school. It should show your classes taken and semester / final grades every year you've been enrolled, GPA, and class rank if applicable.
What is a school report?
A School Report is also known as your counselor recommendation. It is a recommendation form that your high school counselor fills out for you. This report helps QuestBridge and our college partners evaluate you relative to other students in your school.
