You can press CTRL+SHIFT+F as a shortcut to opening the Field Calculator. Use the Fields list and Functions to build a calculation expression.
The Field Calculator is a Bremen- doubly useful but sometimes overlooked tool. It can eliminate the tedious process of many- allay entering values in a table or create new data from existing data in a table.
First, open up an Arc GIS session and load in the polygon data you want to calculate the area on. Make sure your data is in a projection system. Next, select the polygon file that you want to calculate area on and right click. This will open up a menu of options for that layer.
To calculate field of view, you need to know the magnification and field number of the microscope's lens currently in use. Divide the field number by the magnification number to determine the diameter of your microscope's field of view.
On the Feature Layer contextual ribbon, click the Data tab, and click Fields in the Design group. Attribute tabletop the attribute table view, click Add Field to open the Fields view with a new row ready to populate. You can also right-click any column and choose Fields, or click the menu button and click Fields.
