What is the best shooting mode for weddings?
Shooting in the entirely Automatic Mode or the totally Manual Mode of your camera isn't always the best option. Instead, try the Aperture Priority Mode (Av; you control the f/stop and the camera does the rest) or the Shutter Priority Mode (Tv; you control the shutter speed and the camera does the rest).

General Guidelines Aperture: f/2.8–f/4.0 – if you want to shoot wide open (like 1.4) to let in more light, you always can! Shutter Speed: 1/60–1/200 sec if shooting with a flash, otherwise try to stay above 1/250 so you don't have motion blur. ISO: 800–3200 – this fully depends on your cameras capabilities!

30-60 minutes is plenty of time, and for couples who want an exit shot with sparklers or bubbles, we shoot a “” exit before everyone heads back to the party! I also find having more photography time means more “breathing room” time for my couples.
