It think it can be very useful once I get the hang of it. Disappointed that for a yearly subscription of $72.00 you don't get access to the erase feature. This feature is even free online. Do consider and include it.

A good program (and nice people)
A good program, a bit too comprehensive for me (in some ways), and a few (to me) important features were missing.
After my trial period, I was accidentally invoiced for a full year, the support department solved that nicely.

How do I create an equation in Word?
On the Insert tab, in the Symbols group, click the arrow under Equation, and then click Insert New Equation. Under Equation Tools, on the Design tab, in the Symbols group, click the More arrow.
Why is Microsoft Equation not available?
Math equations that are created by Microsoft Equation Editor 3.0 are no longer supported on Microsoft Office 2010 SP2 Onward since January 2018 due to security issue. This update will install the “MT Extra” font enabling the display of the math equations that where created by Microsoft Equation Editor 3.0.
Why is insert equation greyed out in Word?
Why is the equation editor selection grayed out? You may have saved your document in a format that does not support the Equation Editor. Try selecting File > Save As and save the document as a .docx file or File > Convert to update the document to the latest format.
How do I insert an equation in Word 2010?
Launch Word 2010 document, in which you want to insert any mathematical equation. Now navigate to Insert tab, and Click Equation drop-down button to view built-in list, containing different equations. Upon click desired equation from list, it will be automatically added into the document.
How do I enable equations in Word 2007?
To insert an equation in a Word 2007 document, click on the “Insert” menu/tab to see the “Insert” ribbon. In the “Symbols” section, choose “Equation”. You can also press “Alt+=” on your keyboard. You will now see Equation Tools | Design Ribbon.
