What is the file extension ABW?
A file with the ABW file extension is a document created by the AbiWord word processor. Similar to Microsoft Word's DOCX format, this one uses XML to store rich text, images, tables, etc.
How do you make a document readable?
Try to use no more than 2-3 different fonts and use a contrasting font style from your document text for headings. Use a font size around 12 point for body text and around 14 point for headings. Use CAPS, italics and bold for emphasis, but limit their use. Avoid underlining.
How do I open an ABW file?
You can open ABW files with AbiSource AbiWord (multiplatform). To open an ABW file, select File → Open. Since the ABW format is based on the XML standard, you can also open ABW files with XML, source code, and plain text editors.
