hi guys my name's mitz and I want to show you how to edit your header section in a Microsoft Word document now the header section is the space at the top here and if I scroll down this is the footer down the bottom okay so we're going to talk about the header and adjusting the size of it now at the moment moment all we have to do to edit this header just quickly is to double click in the space uh adjust the header from Top here just by clicking on this and it will move um reduce the space from the header from the top there if you can see it moving and um another way of doing this is to go to the page layout and also go to margins and you can set on at the moment it's set to normal so if you just watch this if you set it to narrow it all Narrows up now you can go and change these custom margins because it actually has decreased the left margin as well so you can just go change this yourself okay so just say you go like that there we go so you've still got a narrow head but you've moved the margin over for the text okay and um the other thing so there's three there's that one where you go to the margins okay there's also the design tab the one you land on first where it says header from top and you can adjust it there on the page layout there is also indent which indents the text in this way and from the right as well and also this spacing here so watch this here for the spacing so just say after after the text there so let's let's increase the spacing whoops I've decreased it obviously to zero at the moment so let's increase it there we go so that looks pretty good bit of space there and a bit of space there so we've got it on auto up the top here at the moment so we can can put it on whatever we want so let's see and it moves around now um all you have to do is muck around with it a little bit to get your spacing right like I said we can yeah there's three ways to do it the margin um the indent and the spacing and also on the design tab when it says header from Top all right thanks for watching that is how you adjust your header margins

This is a good app. It could be improved with navigation that's a bit less clunky - more intuitive. I also wish there was a way to fill out forms without having to recenter, re-size, re-font the text so it looks normal in the document.
