A. By default, domain controllers replicate schema and configuration information once an hour. (For information about the type of data replicated, see the FAQ How does intrusive replication work in Windows 2000?.) To change this interval for domain controllers in one site, perform the following tasks.
Open the Active Directory Sites and Services snap-in. Expand the Inter-Site Transport container. Click on the IP container. In the right pane, double-click on the site link you want to modify the replication interval for. Enter the new interval beside Replicate every. Click OK.
The default replication interval is 180 minutes, or 3 hours. The minimum interval is 15 minutes.
Start the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) Active Directory Sites and Services snap-in. Expand the Sites branch to show the sites. Expand the site that contains the DC's. Expand the servers. Select the server you want to replicate to, and expand the server. Double-click NTFS Settings for the server.
Step 1 — Check the replication health. Run the following command : Step 2 — Check the inbound replication requests that are queued. Step 3 — Check the replication status. Step 4 — Synchronize replication between replication partners. Step 5 — Force the KCC to recalculate the topology. Step 6 — Force replication.
AD changes consist of two processes. First, the local AD environment must replicate the changes, be picked up by the Connector, and sent to the cloud. This typically takes about 5-15 minutes.
By default, inters ite replication across each site link occurs every 180 minutes that is 3 hours. You can modify this replication interval, and it can be brought down till 15 minutes.
