How do I resize and reposition a chart in Excel?
To move a chart manually, hover your mouse over the chart area until you see a 4-headed arrow. Then, just click and drag to a new location. To resize a chart, just click and drag any one of the eight handles visible when the chart is selected.
How do I resize an embedded chart?
To move the chart, position the mouse pointer somewhere inside the chart and drag the chart to a new location.

Why can't I change the size of a chart in Excel?
By default you cannot resize the chart by dragging the edges, you have to change the page borders in page setup. But another page setup trick is on the chart tab off the dialog, select the Custom size option.
