hey folks on my last video I showed you how to properly assemble a farmhouse table top with breadboard ends and on this video I'm going to show you how to attach that tabletop to the frame with a system that allows for movement of the wood with changes in the texture let's take a look we'll start with an old piece of scrapbook scrap wood and let's just mark off every inch and a half one two three four I only need four for right now let's take your pencil and Mark the little mark roughly halfway in between each of those marks already made it doesn't have to be super accurate next you want to take a square and extend those lines fairly far down the workpiece after my purposes I'm going to be using the Festool Domino to do these and on this particular setup I'm using the 25 millimeter depth but what I'm going to do is I'm going to loosen the fence and instead of being right at the 25 millimeter spot I'm going to lower the fence just the hair right there just a little bit maybe 20,000 and now we're going to make our cut into these now since we have the machine out we're going to go ahead and cut mortises into our into our table frame so first thing we do is we were using the we put a goofy setting on this but let's bring it back down to 25 and set it up normal and then we're going to start the machine and turn it to the widest Domino settings now we're done with the mortis machine I want to take our block that we put our mortises into and we're going to cut a strip out fit about an inch and a half making it roughly a square block now such your miter gauge up at 90 degrees and separate out your four wood blocks let's check your wood blocks and see that the wider side you're going to set up and you're going to take and drill and countersink these and just go ahead and do all of them next step is take your blocks apply a little glue and insert your dominoes into your wood blocks wipe away a little excess and do the same thing to the rest of them I would come back here to our table frame and we take this little wood block that we made with our dominoes sticking out and we can insert it into that slot as you can see because we cut this with a wide setting this little wood block now moves back and forth we're going to set our tabletop on here and then you just run screws from the bottom up into your tabletop and try and make this you know sit in the middle of the slot when you're screwing it and then that way as the table expands and contracts with the changes in the weather then this block will build move with that tabletop and it will hold it there nice and tight and it was a nice easy way of putting this together with using just Domino I know everybody out there doesn't have one of those Festool Domino tools but you can do the exact same function with a router and an edge guide let me just show you real quick basically just take your router set your edge guide up you're just going to sit it on top of the frame...

Amazing value! I just purchased a subscription to PDFFiller due to being unhappy with a recent upgrade to Adobe's Document Cloud, and I'm absolutely thrilled with it so far, although I have been having some minor challenges. I suspect this is just part of the learning curve, but twice I contacted the online chat support and I am happy to say I was working with actual humans who were clearly native English speakers - a huge time saver when there isn't a language barrier! The challenges pertain to sharing documents. I was not signed up for the E-Sign upgrade, and shouldn't need to be in order to obtain client signatures, as far as I can tell. However, I don't mind signing up for E-Sign, and because the price is very reasonable, I went ahead and upgraded. I'm not certain what level of security is necessary for my line of work, and there are numerous choices available. Also, I had a problem when asking for phone number authentication, something that apparently can't be used when a document is emailed vs. sending a link. I'm still learning, but this is easily the most user-friendly .pdf system that allows for client signatures AND .pdf creations and edits, all while retaining security measures. The ease of editing .pdf files and forms. Challenges with sending files for signature and security options.
