Prompt and honest. They answered my query online immediately and refunded for an incorrectly charged (not their fault) subscription fee within the hour! Was not expecting such prompt service and honesty to be fair, but so grateful they are honourable.

An inscribed book (sometimes also called a presentation copy) has been signed by the author to another person. From a collector's point of view, there are 2 schools of thought about inscribed books.
A signed first edition of John Grisham's The Rainmaker is worth around $15. A first edition of Dan Brown's The da Vinci Code, signed, sells for around $30. A first edition of Our Endangered Values: America's Moral Crisis signed by Jimmy Carter is worth around $15.
The simplest way to get a signed book is to take your copy and meet your favorite author. Authors often tour in order to promote a new book and those events usually include book signings and readings. The more famous the author the longer the signing line will be.
The easiest way to tell if it's a printed signature is to turn the page and run your fingers over it. There's often a little bleed through onto the back of the page, so look through the page at a light source. If it's uniformly dark, it's probably printed. If it's irregular, odds go up that it's a real signature.
Rare association copies are among the most valuable signed books. Some books become valuable because of whom they've been inscribed to. That is, a fairly well-known author inscribing a book to a politician or actor, says Morris. Quite often their libraries are worth a small (or large) fortune upon their deaths.
But for most collectors, books represent a stable, long-term investment. It's a rarefied pursuit, one that can be financially rewarding if you have the necessary expertise, diligence, and patience. Ask a dealer if books are a wise investment strategy and the short answer is no.
A signature, sometimes abbreviated SIG, is a sheet of paper printed with four or more pages and folded one or more times to the approximate size of one page and in a manner which puts the pages in proper numbered order.
