What is the standard shipping label size?
Shipping Labels come to you ready to use and on US letter size (8.5 × 11) sheets, with free shipping label templates formatted for each size.
What is the standard label size?
Letter Size Label Sheets (8.5×11) The Letter size is the standard size in the United States. This size paper can be found just about anywhere. Schools, churches, work, stores, etc. Letter size label sheets can come with any amount of labels in any size that will fit on the label sheet.
Can shipping labels be any size?
A normal shipping label is about 6×4. 7×5 is fine, too. It should be no bigger than a half a sheet of letter-sized paper (or A4 paper, if you're not from the US). Bigger than that will still technically work, but the extra work they require may delay your package.
How big do shipping labels have to be?
Our 4" x 6 1/2” shipping label on legal size paper gives you all the benefits of a standard size shipping label with the cost savings from printing four per page.
Can you make shipping labels smaller?
Answers (2) absolutely just go to your printer settings and adjust the size % down. You're not supposed to shrink the labels.
Can a shipping label be too big?
Yes, it is too big. The barcodes are the most important part of the label, and when you print it the size of a full piece of paper, the scanner needs to be further away from the label to encompass the whole barcode. You may notice someone with a handheld scanner has to hold it so far away that it's almost out of range.
How do I print a smaller shipping label?
Use the drop-down menu in the Scale section of the menu bar to adjust the print size. The window will then adjust to show how much space the label will take up on the printed page. Raise or lower the percentage until the label takes up the approximate size you wish it to print at, and then select “Print.”
