Assuming Global Volume Lock is active, select a mode on the remote control that you want to unlock (e.g., CBL) and press it once. Next, press and hold SET UP until the device key blinks twice.
Press TV. Press Setup until 2 blinks. Enter 994 (the remote should blink twice) Tap Setup briefly. Enter 00169. Tap OK/Select.
Press and hold the TV button. While you are still holding it, press the OK button for 1 second and then release both buttons at the same time. Now you have to press and hold the Delete button for 3 seconds. Now your TV remote will be reset to factory settings.
Press and hold the CBL button at the top right of the remote and then press and hold the OK/SEL button at the middle for a few seconds and then release both. Pressing CBL and OK button Spectrum Remote.
Try pressing ENTER on your remote control after you've entered the channel number. Make sure the power light on your receiver is lit, indicating it's turned on. Verify that the receiver is working properly by using the front panel buttons of the receiver to try changing the channel.
Hold down both the ARC and Standby for about 3 seconds. Continue holding the ARC button as you release the Standby. While you are still pressing the ARC button, dial 9499. Now, release the ARC button to complete the reset process.
Confirm remote control is on the correct mode: TV, CBL, DVD or AUX by pressing OK/Select or mode key buttons. Check or replace the batteries in your remote. If the Page Up button on your remote is not working, try using the Turbo Scroll feature. By holding down the Up button, you can scroll quickly through the Guide.
