Open the web app in Access and select the table you want to lock from the Table Selector in the left pane. Click Settings/Actions > Lock. The Lock icon appears next to the name of the table. Tip: To unlock a table, follow the same steps and click Unlock.
Password Protect an Access Object Close the database and re-access it by clicking on the shortcut that was just created (on your desktop?) Click the File tab, and then under Help, click Options. Click Current Database. Under Application Options, in the Display Form list, select the form that you want to display when the database starts. Click OK, and then close and reopen the database to display the startup form.
Open the form in Design view. Right-click the Customer Name field. Under the Data tab, set the Enabled property to Now and then set the Locked property to Yes.
In Access 2010, select the Design tab in the toolbar at the top of the screen. Then click on the Property Sheet button in the Tools group. When the Property Sheet appears, select Form from the drop-down if it is not already selected. You should now see the properties for the Form object.
