To Whom It May Concern,
I need to let you know that I jumped the gun on submitting my prior severely bad review. Knoll G ended up figuring out the issue and assisted greatly in resolving it. She had much more patience than I had as I had been trying to figure out where everything had been changed to from when I used your site the year before. After 4 hours of much frustration, Knoll G saved the day. I would like to ask for you to somewhat disregard my initial review. I only say somewhat because I feel that the site had such a huge change from last year's "easy to use" formatting. I never needed to use support help. That said, I would like to praise Knoll G. She never gave up even when I did. Huge THANK YOU for not giving up Knoll! You're great and I hope you get some sort of reward for going above and beyond.
I would also like to add a technical note...I don't know how everything is viewed on the companies side, but it was very difficult to work with support in terms of the chat box. Every time Knoll G gave me a direction to go and I went (which means the screen changed), I would lose the chat box and had to wait for Knoll G to type and send me something before the box would reappear and then I could respond. It only added to my then current frustration so your site coders might want to look into that.

When I tried to sign in from a new home…
When I tried to sign in from a new home computer, after I put in my email and password, a box flashed with information in the top right of my screen. It flashed and disappeared so quickly that I could not read it. I had to keep attempting to sign in so that each time I could read a little farther in the box which I finally was able to read and it told me that an email had been sent to my email account and I had to go there to verify that it was me signing in from this new computer. The box should not flash and disappear so fast that it cannot be read.

How are ECDs charts corrected?
Charts on ECDs need to be updated and corrected on a regular basis. Unlike paper charts where the procedure involves manual insertion of the corrections, correction to Ends are made automatically. ECDs allows updating the existing charts and installing new charts too.
How do you correct a nautical publication?
Take out tracing of correction or position from weekly ATM /Annual summary of ATM, one by one from bottom, update chart, write correction number in bottom left corner and in chart correction book. Do up to last correction and write on the back of chart Corrected up to ATM (No of ATM) / (year).
What is T and P correction?
Temporary and Preliminary (T & P) corrections are carried out in pencil and are erased after they are canceled or superseded by permanent correction. Navigational warnings are listed under Navies. A New edition of a chart is issued when the major portion of a chart is revised.
How do you correct an admiralty chart?
Correction for a new chart: Erase all the old corrections (in case of the new edition and write the edition date in the pen). Enter the Chart Folio and sequence number, from the index. In case of a new edition, this information is already present. Correct the chart for any pending corrections.
How often are nautical charts updated?
About 250 new editions are issued per year with the time between new editions ranging from six months to several years.
How often are NOAA charts updated?
Q: How often should I update my charts? A: Each year, NOAA issues over 11,000 corrections to their suite of over 1,000 charts. Depending on the area of boating, you should consider updating your charts on a regular basis and certainly when a new edition is released.
