How do I see track changes in Word?
On the Review tab, in the Tracking group, select Show Markup.
Do one of the following: Select to select the type of change that you want to display. For example, select Comments or Insertions and Deletions. The check mark next to the item indicates that the item is selected.

What is all markup in Word?
Select the option you want: Simple Markup points out where changes are made with a red line in the margin. All Markup shows all edits with different colors of text and lines. No Markup hides markup to show what the incorporated changes will look like. Original shows the document in its original form.
How do you add a markup area in Word?
Add a comment to your Word 2016 document, and the markup area appears on the right side of the page. The markup area appears whenever a document features comments, but its appearance is controlled by settings on the Review tab. To hide the markup area, click the Review tab.
How do you use Track Changes?
Go to Review on the Ribbon.
In the Tracking group in the middle, click the Track Changes button and from the drop-down select Track Changes.
What is track mode in Word?
The Track Changes function in Word allows you to keep a record of amendments made to a document. You can then choose to accept or reject the amendments. It is a useful tool for managing changes made by several reviewers to the same document.
How do I show different authors in track changes?
Open the document.
Go to File, Info.
At the Check for Issues item if you see Allow this information to be saved in this file (see picture below), CLICK on that hyperlink.
OTHERWISE, all the track changes will be of one color, and no identifying author will be on the document (and it cannot be changed).
