Oracle Advanced Pricing uses a logical and flexible framework to handle complex and tailored pricing scenarios. It enables organizations to segment the price creation process into three basic elements: defining pricing rules, assigning rules to create specific pricing actions, and designating pricing controls.
Price lists are essential to ordering products because each item entered on an order must have a price. Each price list contains basic list information and one or more pricing lines that define prices for all levels of your product hierarchy: at the item level, category level, or any level that you define.
Secondary Price List: The pricing engine uses secondary price lists when it cannot determine the price for an item using the price list assigned to an order. Primary and secondary price lists have the same currency. Note: You can only add a secondary price list one you enter the currency for the primary price list.
Introduction. A price oracle is any tool used to view price information about a given asset. When you look at stock prices on your phone, you are using your phone as a price oracle.
Let's add an Item to a price list: Navigate to Purchasing | Advanced Pricing | Price Lists | Price List Setup. Press the F11 function key to enter the Query Mode. In the Name field, enter Corporate and press Ctrl and F11 key. The details of the Corporate Price List are displayed.
Price lists are used to derive selling prices automatically during on-line order entry. You can also attach payment terms, freight terms, and freight carriers to a price list so that you can default them on orders to which that list is assigned. Suggestion: You must designate a currency for each price list.
