You may also check with the county auditor, public high school assistant principals, municipal clerks and municipal corporation commissioners for their fees for each office. In the event that a fee does not exist, then the fee for that office will be indicated on the front page of the form. The County Attorney's Office will also provide a fee schedule. Any fees payable to the candidates must be paid by the closing date of the office. If the election date is later than 60 days after the filing date, the fees for that office should be paid on or before the closing day at the next regularly scheduled office. The office should then be paid by the county's clerk. If you have any questions about the form or the required fees, please call the Elections Division at x1366, or mail at Nebraska State Election Office, Attn: Office Administration, State Capitol, Omaha, NE 68102. All costs, including filing fees, for any new office are to be paid by the person or persons filing except that a person filling out this form may also request the county clerk to pay the costs. The person or persons filing on the forms are responsible for paying the fees.
