The recipient of this award will receive a Fellowship that will cover their full academic training and the amount of time for undergraduate and graduate work that they intend to undertake. This award is intended to support graduate students whose work involves a strong commitment to community service, the arts, or both. The Fellowship will cover the tuition for an undergraduate degree, and a part-time stipend to support a graduate degree. In addition to academic support, the Fellowship provides fellows with opportunities to engage in internships in professional organizations or organizations that support the arts and humanities. Fellowship funds will be used to support fellows' time during their graduate programs at the Department of Art or at another art school. Description of Grant: This competition honors creative practitioners who undertake projects related to the University of Chicago's arts, community, and community engagement initiatives.
