The Fleet Credit Card Program is a cost-neutral solution to maintain energy security and to reduce fleet operating costs while improving reliability and ensuring compliance with all DoD policy. To be eligible for a Fleet Credit Card, a federal employee is required to provide a valid government-issued vehicle registration for purchases. The following table lists the Fleet Credit Card limits for the armed services: For the total amount of the authorized credit, the purchase of oil, motor oil, lubricants, and fluids, as well as the purchase of all approved air filters, is limited to 1,500. This credit may be used to purchase any of the following: Fuel. Oil, motor oil, lubricants, and fluids used for the engine of the vehicle purchased. All air filters used to repair or clean the vehicle. All approved minor services associated with servicing the vehicle, including oil changes and windshield wiper blades. This section describes certain additional requirements imposed by Air Force Instruction (Afr. Instr. #11-1-3, 5 February 1993) to ensure timely delivery and use of fuel products to eligible persons on active duty who have valid military fuel receipts. In addition, for the total amount of authorized credit that can be used for specific goods, fuel that will be consumed in the course of active duty travel is subject to the following general limitations: The price at fuel vending machine (FM) will be the only amount allowed to use the credit. DoD fuel purchased at stations other than the FM will be subject to the price at the FM. No more than two dollars may be used at the FM for fuel for personal use or on personal vehicles. The purchase of fuel by a member for personal use will be considered in the “off?duty” period. The use of “off?duty” fuel does not preclude the use of the credit for a period that the member is actually engaged in active duty. In addition to the above limitations discussed in this section, the following limits apply to certain fuels and lubricants consumed for training, testing, and maintenance. For the total amount of the authorized credit, the purchase of any type of fuel and lubricant consumed for training, testing, and maintenance are limited to 1,500 for that particular type of fuel/lubricant. For oil and lubricants consumed for training or test purposes, the total amount of credit allowed may not exceed 1,500. No more than two dollars may be used at the FM for the purchase of fuel.
