If your use of the building where you converted was for a business (other than home use), and it's your main business on the land where you converted it. Then you can: claim VAT on any new work on: the land where you previously had the building work carried out. the road that connects the building to your main business land, or Any other business land where you have or previously had the building work, but only if it's more than 6,000 square feet (8 meters by 2,000 square meters) B3. If your use of the building where you converted was business (home use) you must: claim the VAT on the part of the new work or on any new work you carry out at the new business-building site. Include an additional £1,500 of any work carried out at the new business-building site B4.
