The City may utilize and seek to negotiate agreements regarding the acquisition and use of any property, including a building, which the Chicago Housing Authority finds necessary or desirable for the development of housing under the City's Housing Charter and the State's General Plan which does not meet the statutory requirements. 3.1 General Restrictions. The City is prohibited from acquiring land for private property uses not included within the City's Housing Charter and the State's General Plan. The City shall comply with State Law regarding the disposition of such properties. 1.2. Development Assistance Program. The Chicago Housing Authority shall have no role in evaluating applications or making policy recommendations relating to the development of housing or related land use, including those under Section 37 of the Chicago Housing Act of 1934. In conducting such evaluations, each unit of local government shall take its own actions in accordance with its own objectives. 4: General Policies 4.1 Proposal Review.
