The Department of Fire, Building and Life Safety is a separate state agency from the Executive Office for Administration (ERA) or the Department of Public Safety. The only responsibility of the Department of Fire, Building and Life Safety is the issuance of fire permits, insurance companies, utilities, etc. The State Attorney General enforces all state and municipal laws. The Chief Administration Office has no direct control over the granting of state funds. The Chief Administration Office does not accept applications for grant funding. We accept requests for a number of funding programs. For a list of funding providers we have developed a Funding Network. The Network consists of individuals and organizations who have been proven to be excellent stewards of Department of Fire, Building and Life Safety funds. To join the Network, send our funding program request forms, by mail, electronic or in person, to the Network Manager. You can reach him via email at this email address. Please note that funding will typically be available for one to three years. The Chief Administration Office is the State of Arizona's executive agency for the administration and oversight of the executive branch of the government. The Chief Administration Office is responsible for the following functions: (1) ensuring the proper conduct of Department of Fire, Building and Life Safety activities; (2) overseeing and directing the various activities of FLAG personnel; and (3) directing the management of the Department of Fire, Building and Life Safety.
