When you are finished viewing all the pages, click the back arrow. (If you are already done viewing that page, you will automatically be done viewing all the pages on that page.) Slide 2: On the right-hand side of the screen is the budget overview slide, which shows information about the speakers and their expenses. Slide 3: The left-hand column will display all the available speakers. All of these speakers have been selected through a process known as “speaker selection.” This is only available for public speakers. For private speakers only, there is no speaker selection. Slide 4: In the slide on the right-hand side is a list of all the budget lines. On these lines, each speaker's expenses will be listed in “per speaker” amounts. The line is indicated by a checkmark. Slide 5: Click on the speaker name in the column to the left of the column to expand your view of all the speakers. Slide 6: The second column, with the speaker's name, name of the event (a.k.a. the event type), the date, and the total spent is not as useful as the first column in terms of presentation and planning, so I will skip them. Slide 7: As you can see, the expenses shown on the left-hand column are in two types of expenditures: those for the speaker, and those for the event itself. Slide 8: Use the drop-down (or right-arrow (>) to make sure and select the speaker line for your first speaker. Next, create a new budget line for your second speaker for all expenses that would go after this speaker. (Make sure you create two Budget Lines. If you only have one, you will have to make this new line first.) Slide 9: Now that you have done that, you should have a list of the expenses you are going to pay for the speaker. You will note that some expenses will also have a date column that will include a number that will tell you when the expense occurred. In the example below, the speaker's dates are labeled “03/22/2005.” Click on the dollar amount in the date column to see the amount paid for that expense. You do not need to enter that date into your budget because it will automatically be listed as a “start date.” You will save it by clicking on the little green “-” button to the left of the date column.
