The same holds true with alcohol. “ The “you suck because you don't own this” is the “You're drunk because you don't own this” of the alcohol industry. The same study found the most common negative attitude is “you're drunk, you'll get sick” or “you'll get drunk, you won't get drunk.” So the more negative message children hear, the worse they get at avoiding drinks while drunk. This ad shows the negative message the “You're drunk because you don't own this,” message to be even scarier to young children. There is a scientific term called “Binge and Heavy Drinking” by researcher Stephen Cossack. That's the study of having 3 –5 drinks in one day. If you drink 4 drinks in one day, this is binge-drinking. If you drink 3 drinks in one day with a few drinks thrown in, and the drinks are 4 and 5 drinks, this would be binge-drinking. Binge is when you drink two or more alcoholic drinks in a short time, and Heavy Drinking is when you consume 5 or more in a day. If you have one drink, it's not binge-drinking. It's “2/5” which means 2/5 of a drink, for example, a drink of 20% alcohol. That can be an iced coffee and then a 5 shot whiskey in a couple of hours. That is not binge-drinking. Binge and Heavy Drinking. Binge Drinking Binge-drinking is most likely for one to two drinks a day. It is difficult to drink 4 drinks, so most people do not binge in this way. The other study that I cited showed that binge/heavy drinking was strongly related to violence. Binge-drinking was the major contributing factor for youth violence. “Binge and Heavy Use of Alcohol” in Scholarly Articles Lavender, J. “Binge Drinking and the Risk of Suicide as a Function of Ethnic Group.” American Journal of Preventive Medicine: 1998. Vol. 26, no. 1 Brown, P., Eberhardt, J., et al., “Binge Drinking, Alcohol Use Disorders, and Mental Health Related Quality of Life During the First Year of Life.” BMJ: 2002; 327: Brenner, N.
