Oregon Drinking Water Revolving Loan Fund letter of interest for regional jurisdictions — Regional governments are invited to participate in Oregon's Drinking Water Revolving Loan fund by submitting an interest based grant application to the Oregon Econ Development Department. Application requests are processed in a manner similar to most other grant applications. A “formal” and “applicant only” application request format is submitted to the Oregon DEQ, where grant requests will initially be reviewed and prioritized. Grant proposals will then be considered and a final decision would be made based on the number, type and quality of proposals, along with other considerations. All program funds will be awarded to approved applicants, based on merit, without any program preference or preference for region. Grants may be awarded by the Oregon DEQ to a maximum of two (2) grants per year for any category of project. This means that an appropriate minimum allocation of funds will be provided for any proposed project for any region, even after the approval of the grant will have been granted. The amounts in the funding pool are based on the size of the economy and the projected population levels through the end of the five-year development period.
