This is an estimated amount, and the actual tax owed may be higher. This is an estimated amount. DO NOT RELY ON THIS INFORMATION TO DETERMINE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO PAY, OR NOT PAY IF YOU ARE THE BUYER OF SUCH RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY. If you sell to a resident of Rhode Island, you must leave with the Registry a copy of your RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY LEASE AGREEMENT, if the Registry has one, or an original copy of it if not. DO NOT DELIBERATELY REFUSE TO BRING THE RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY LEASE AGREEMENT. If the Registry does not have one, the buyer who is listed as the owner of the property must sign one, and mail it by certified mail, return receipt requested, to the following address; Registry of Properties, Department of Buildings, PO Box 10, Providence, Rhode Island 02. The Registry will send a receipt if the buyer signs it. YOU MUST BE RECEIVED THESE DOCUMENTS AT THE OFFICE OF DEPARTMENT OF BUILDING. REGISTRATION FEE FOR REMOVAL OF RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY If the Registry cannot issue a copy of the RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY LEASE AGREEMENT, the buyer must pay an Administrative Fee of 35.00 for each copy of the RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY LEASE AGREEMENT that the Registry is unable to reproduce, and if the Registry cannot issue the copy of the RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY LEASE AGREEMENT, the buyer must pay the Administrative Fee to the Registry. This fee is in addition to any other costs of the removal, including, but not limited to, any attorney's fees. The Administrative Fee shall be collected by mail or in person on the same day the property is removed. Property may not be removed any earlier than 9:00 a.m. the following day except in cases where the Registry has approved the removal. The Administrative Fee shall not be applied against the sales price.
