As far as a service is concerned I have been very pleased with them. I will continue to do business with them. Thank you for the update I am very pleased with the service provided by Fleet Bank. I had a few small banking concerns in the past with them and have never been bothered with any issues from them in the past. I do hope that is because our bank was only a small part of my money. But I guess we all know that is not the case. We also had a couple of complaints about overdrafts. But they never took any action, ever. My concerns went over their head, and they ignored them. This should not happen at any bank. The other big problem that Fleet Bank had been their fees. I was not a customer in the first place, so I just paid them some other bank (I was a non-customer of Fleet Bank when I first applied, and they were fine). But this bank had several annoying fees, including for not filling out an application and a credit application. Also, I heard that sometimes they will charge a fee each time one applies for a loan. I think that is not right, but I have heard this, and I can't say which bank charges the fee. I actually called the bank, and they did not like the way I called them about this. They said they would charge me to call them back to discuss my concerns. But I have found this to also be a way of me getting the information from them. I don't think that is the kind of service that people want anymore. I believe that the people should be the ones to be in charge of making all the decisions in their own bank and the way things work is not very good. One of the banks that I am not happy with is First State Bank. They do have a great customer service department and have one of the most knowledgeable people in the business, but they also have some of the most annoying bank operations to deal with and do not take kindly to customers who call them about things. If one is going to open a bank they should at least follow a good banking practice like following up on complaints before they even become complaints. My last problem with this bank is their fees for overdrafts. If you are a very fast drawer and have enough savings to pay for everything, then this will not be a big deal. But if you have too much, and you are not the person who will be getting the loan if they are denied, then this is a big deal.
